ALYSIA MONTAÑO ON RACING, MOTHERHOOD AND MEDALS

Alysia Montaño - 800m Goddess, Olympian with the flower in her hair, 7x USA Champ, 3x Bronze medalist, 2x American Record holder. She's a #sisterhero. And that's what is so great about the sisterhood + running community. No matter the singlet, we cheer hard. Jess attempted to keep her fangirling at a minimum... enjoy!

STEPH BRUCE - THE ULTIMATE STARTING LINE

Steph Bruce is a sub 2:30 marathoner, a professional running coach (along with her husband Ben), and a mother of two boys under two. Yep. She just brought her little babe Hudson into the world just 5 weeks ago. Right now she's assessing where she's at and where she's going, with the 2016 Olympic year. She's a keep-it-real sister hero and well... let's just let her fill us in on her ultimate starting line.

SERENA WILLIAMS PREGNANCY AND WHY CNN NEEDS FIND SOME WOMEN TO INTERVIEW

The media + women athletes + pregnancy = a strange brew of speculation, misogyny, and poor source material. So here’s the deal: it’s true, pregnancy changes everything. But it’s also true, that it is a natural stage in a woman’s life. And that being the world’s greatest athlete and having a baby are not mutually exclusive. Serena can, and very likely will, conquer new grand slams post baby. - See more at: http://www.oiselle.com/blog/serena-williams-pregnancy#sthash.Bx1g6C5n.dpuf

RUNNING STYLE FOR PREGNANCY + MATERNITY

We were so thrilled to see Haute Volée Trisha Drobeck in Seattle a few weeks ago! At 34 weeks pregnant, she clearly had transitioned from Olympic Trials marathoner to mama-to-be with her usual Drobeck badassery! And she was such a good sport about changing about 20 times in as many minutes. Check out Trisha's favorite spring maternity #flystyle. And, enjoy this useful throwback from our running moms of Oiselle on training while pregnant and other pregnancy tidbits!

THE FLYWAY - MUSINGS ON MOTHERHOOD  By: Ayesha Sundram

Much of my life, running and otherwise, has been spent wrangling with illusions of control. Mastery, to me, has always been a process of gaining control and discipline over something: thoughts, words, actions. There have been many times when this philosophy has yielded brilliant results in attaining personal and professional goals. There have also been times when it has been profoundly destructive, the most obvious example a decade lost down the rabbit hole of an eating disorder, chasing an always retreating point of arrival almost to the point of vanishing.

ROLL MAMA STROLLER RUNNING

I think we can all agree, mother runners: stroller running is no joke. As if running alone weren’t enough of a workout, pushing a kid while you run adds legit challenge. But running with the stroller often beats not getting to run at all. With all the extra weight to power forward and accompanying reaching in front of you required, it’s more important than ever to activate key muscles before you roll. Use this quick routine to activate your core, glutes, and upper back to go to work and reduce stroller strain, not to mention reduce your injury risk.

PRENATAL YOGA FOR ATHLETES

To say that cooking a baby is harder than I thought feels like an understatement. While thrilling, my pregnancy so far has been very disorienting. I’ve gone from daily yoga/meditation/running to what feels like a waddle and maybe an eve Legs Up the Wall sesh. Between morning aka all day sickness and unfamiliar fatigue, my baby bump has pretty much halted the physical activities I love and demands all kinds of food that have never appealed to me, ever — someone get me a Domino’s pizza, quick! (At least my hubby is enjoying my cravings…)

STRONG, FAST MOMS OF OISELLE

Ohhh the moms of Oiselle, how do they do it! In my mind they actually are super women. Squeezing in time to train and reach their goals, all while playing mom - countless soccer games, pick ups from day care after work, midday pump breaks in the Nest's "pump-pump" room. They do it all, and they are amazing at it. This blog is a big happy Mother's Day to the moms of Oiselle and all moms being super women in everything you do. I have no doubt you will relate to some of the hilarious answers below!
