Today, March 31, is International Transgender Day of Visibility, an event begun in 2009 by transgender activist Rachel Crandall Crocker to highlight and celebrate the lives of transgender people (particularly as a response to the more well-known Transgender Day of Rememberance, which calls attention to those whose lives were ended by violence).

As one of our indigenous content creators for Women Run the Vote, Guarina’s work on the campaign will further explore how the 907 miles in Montana, Idaho and Washington State are impacted by environmental injustice and what we can do to help.

The WRTV Panel on September 21st is moderated by Dinée Dorame, with Teresa Baker, Rebecca McCown, Guarina Lopez, and Faith Briggs on the historical and present erasure of Black and Indigenous communities from the land/outdoors.
A PRAYER FOR OUR FUTURE
Mallory Adamski is a Diné (Navajo) woman on her life’s journey to lift the voices, resilience and knowledge of Indigenous peoples around the world. She is the Director of Communications and Advancement for the National Indigenous Women’s Resource Center, which advocates to end violence against American Indian, Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian women. In her role, Mallory also serves as managing editor of Restoration of Native Sovereignty and Safety for Native Women, a publication dedicated to informing tribal leadership and communities of emerging issues impacting the safety of American Indian and Alaska Native women.
