A NEW DAY OF TOGETHERNESS
Renewed togetherness… yep, this is the concept. I know because we’ve been discussing it for months. Thankfully, I’ve been buoyed by some recent experiences that speak to the love, joy and hope of the run community — but more on that in a minute.
TRINITY HAVEN- A SHELTER FOR LGBTQ+ TEENS
When leaders of Trinity Episcopal Church in Indianapolis (where Volée teammate Jennifer Baskerville-Burrows serves as Bishop) learned that LGBTQ+ youth homelessness is an invisible crisis in their city, they found a way to provide a safe home in Trinity Haven.
TAKE IT TO THE STREETS
Oiselle was honored to recently partner with Mechelle Lewis Freeman, Jennifer Forrester, and TrackGirlz to present storytelling by the legendary Tigerbelles team from the 1960’s. We are big believers in the TrackGirlz mission of empowering girls through track and field. Check out their latest initiative - street racing - and join in the fun if you’ll be in Eugene for the Track and Field Olympic Trials!

After trying on a pair of running shorts, a switch flipped for Volée teammate Katie Ahrens. Little did she know that pair of running shorts would lead her down a path to unabashedly be herself.
1928 LEGACY TOUR
In 1928, Marylou Jackson, Velma Jackson, Ethyl Miller, Leolya Nelson, and Constance White set a challenge - cycle 250-mi from Harlem, NY to Washington, DC in less than 65 hours. 93 years later, Keshia Roberson has organized a ride to answer the call, and you can learn more about it here.
